Yes the holidays are here and with it comes the joy of family and friends. But let us not forget those people who do not have family and friends to celebrate the holidays. Yes, it may be seniors who have no close family, immigrants whose families are thousands of miles away, the homeless who because of illness or addiction live on the streets or just regular people like you or me, who for whatever reason have no one close to share the holidays with. Yes, we must not forget these people. And let us not forget the children, the children whose parents cannot afford to purchase toys this Christmas season or the children who will spend their Christmas in the hospital, due to some illness or injury. We at American USA surely did not. As a matter of fact, this past week, we delivered numerous toys to Dell’s Children Hospital In Austin Texas. The toys were graciously donated by the parents and friends of participants in both American USA Beauty and Miss Bastrop County Beauty Pageants. And isn’t that what the holidays are all about…giving to the less fortunate. We hope that you take the time to volunteer your time or talent to help the less fortunate this holiday season. Whether it be ringing a bell at a local department store, or giving money to your church or some other charity, or even just a friendly smile and wave to a perfect stranger…even that can mean so much. We truly have been blessed and we look forward to a new year of pageants and fun. Thank you all for your continued support and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!
